Army Spc. Ronald H. Wildrick Jr.
Military Honors
On Dec. 11, 2011, Woodsboro resident Army Spc. Ronald H. Wildrick Jr. was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan, the 21st service member from Frederick's 6th Congressional District to die in Afghanistan or Iraq.
One month later, hundreds lined the street in Woodsboro as Wildrick's remains were returned to his family from Dover Air Force Base. After two days, a motorcade delivered his casket to Arlington National Cemetery, where Wildrick was buried with full military honors.
